‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Islam is built on five: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, establishing prayer, giving Zakah, performing Hajj to the (Sacred) House, and fasting Ramadān." Tāriq ibn Ashīm al-Ashja‘i (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Whoever says 'lā ilāha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah)' and disbelieves in everything worshiped besides Allah, his property and blood become inviolable, and his reckoning will be with Allah."
